Ching Ch'ing, a Chinese Ch'an master, asked a monk:
-What is the sound outside?
The monk answered:
-That is the sound of rain.
The master said:
-Sentient beings are upside down, they lose themselves in pursuit of things.
There are no more boundaries which can be recognized. Ideas, objects, space and time are no longer linear. The emptiness is without limit, continuously and without end. All things are dropped in the center of a limitless pool and the waves are set in motion forever. The grasp is that there is no grasp. Make peace with it.
