I think it was acid trips in the 70s that first made me question the reality of form. The little flecks in formica would flow in rivers, the holes in accoustic tile would get bigger and bigger until they were the size of basketballs. And with the Sun shining behind them, I could see the flow through the veins of the leaves, etc, etc.
I never had a bad trip, although I talked others down from one even when I was high. And I never thought I could fly and jumped off a building, or anything like that. People who are psychotic should not take drugs, unless prescribed, because they are predisposed to do crazy things. Otherwise, for normal people, acid and other hallucinogens can raise a number of interesting questions. Like, *Just how real is this world anyway?*
Even if we could see the energy behind the forms we take for granted, and that would be a step in the right direction, we would still have a ways to go to get to what you refer to as *formless stupa*.
The only *formless stupa* that I know is the Spirit itself, formless awareness, out of which, and within which, everything else is created. |
