→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: DEAR CYPHERYING……
vertical line Posted on Mar.28.2007 @ 08:29AM EDT by stephen

"Suffering is something we create through judgment……

………A fool has no suffering. He is born lacking the ability to analyze. This ability to analyze comes from our mind and so the mind is our source of suffering."

Does not the dog suffer when he is beaten? Does not the fool suffer when there is nothing to eat? MU

vertical line Stop!! Now!!!

Do not beat the dog. Do not starve the fool. Ponder and think on why you would want to commit these wanton acts of cruelty.

The dog cyphers and the fool cyphers.

Let the fool and the dog go. They love each other.

vertical line First, I thought it would be a good thing for someone else to do the shit detail, so I tried to assign it, but I was the only one there,  and off I went to the kitchen to stuff my face with fine, delicious, processed foods. Someone told me to do it, so I gave in to pressure, and got off my, thing, so good.

Then, I got bored, all by myself, yes, another miracle, and found the tools to do the shit work myself, and left the kitchen, without even as much as an apple, but I had the tools... yeah, bagged it.

So, out back I went to fact the largest waste, dog shit collection I have ever seen.

"Ca-ching!" I see the light!

Or was it just cash?

But, I resisted the mood for profit, or more food, and got busy cleaning.

Well, the pile stretched for miles, but actually I exaggerate it, was, it was, like maybe a 20 ft square, but it was on the deck too, add another couple poops. Ooowweeedom!

Ah, the tools were defective, so I had to do some tool smithing, and ended up with a fine tool. One, fine tool! We're talkin' fine! Not big, but fine, so...

Wait, I have some white tea to sip...

Then, back to the poop and tool story, if I'm told.

vertical line Wife's mother has just been taken by ambulance into hospital - palpitations and shortness of breath, panicking because 'no one is there' - I don't feel too good because I phoned her work with the news. Before I see her today, I have to clean up a couple of wheelbarrow-loads of chicken shit ready to compost and I can't get the lid on. And the cat, she's not even interested in queens, is scratching to go outside.

Nothing Exists

Yamaoka Tesshu, as a young student of Zen, visited one master after another. He called upon Dokuon of Shokoku.

Desiring to show his attainment, he said: "The mind, Buddha, and sentient beings, after all, do not exist. The true nature of phenomena is emptiness. There is no realization, no delusion, no sage, no mediocrity. There is no giving and nothing to be received."

Dokuon, who was smoking quietly, said nothing. Suddenly he whacked Yamaoka with his bamboo pipe. This made the youth quite angry.

"If nothing exists," inquired Dokuon, "where did this anger come from?"
