When you breathe in, experience breathing in.
When you breathe out, be fully conscious that
you are breathing out.

→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: WAKING UP
vertical line Posted on Jun.13.2007 @ 07:08AM EDT by ______
How painful is it? To wake up? To admit that I don't want to wake up; I am quite happy thanks, in my warm snuggle-down comfort. Then to realise it's really not so comfortable because I'm waking up. Isn't it wonderful - to be liberated from the prison of vanity?

vertical line To wake up into another dream shouldn't be too painful. Dreaming 'prison' and dreaming 'liberation' are much the same if both seem contradictory.

Your 'prison' never existed as a 'prison' other than in your own perceptions, neither will your liberation exist outside your perceptions as anything other than a, possibly preferable seeming, prison.

The prison was, is and always be your liberation along with every other Dharma/ universal phenomena.

Regards,

Harry.

vertical line Call it hypnotism or unconsious - same thing.

Teacher says, "Hi Johnny."
"Hi."
"What do you have in your hand?"
"This is a lump of cow dung."
"What are you making out of it?"
"I'm making a teacher."
"Oh dear", thinks teacher, "Johny has regressed."
Teacher summons Headteacher.

Headteacher says, "Hi Johnny."
"Hi".
"What do you have in your hand?"
"A lump of cow dung."
"What are you making out of it?"
"I'm making a headteacher."
Headteacher thinks Johnny is a case for the school psychologist.
The school psychologist is a clever guy.

Psychologist says, "Hi."
"Hi", says Johnny.
"I know what you have in your hand."
"What?" says Johnny.
"A lump of cow dung."
"Right", says Johnny.
"And I know what you're making out of it."
"What?"
"You're making a psychologist."
"Wrong", says Johnny, "not enough cow dung.
