I think, that the most direct place to wake up, is in your direct environment. And, I have to go to work, and it's gonna be a good night. How do I know? Gotta go, tell ya later. |

By the time you've put anything into words, you've probably already killed it.
But still, even an old weak poison makes for a nourishing soup.
Perhaps less understanding, and more knowing?

Words by themselves are of no importance. Sometimes body language is more important in communicating. Words only have the meaning we choose to invest them with. In meditating on the breath we are taught to think "in" with each inhalation and "out" with each exhalation. But reverse it saying "out" each time you inhale and "in" each time you exhale and see if it makes a difference. In the beginning was the Word, but the Word (not to mention the grammar) didn't matter and so it slinked, slank, slunk (oh what is the word!) away. |

Nope, never been taught that by anybody. Interesting words. What meaning are you trying to convey with those words? What's "meditating on the breath"?

Quote: "Words? I love 'em!" ......... Oh, I'm absolutely addicted to them. Sometimes, I just can't shut up. And my mind just persists in thinking in words. Words, words, words. Where would man be without them? But I'm beginning to understand that they have their limits. There is a truth that lies beyond them, beyond their power to describe. |

ok, well I just love words without addiction. I don't think in words though, I think in pictures, sounds and feelings. The words are created in the beyond, so I may make a use of them to create a beyond whence they come. |

I think in pictures, sounds, and feelings also , but when I do so my mind attaches a sign in the form of a word to each of them. But the words used are only symbols, they are not the reality itself. |

Words are tools - some are better then others. Then again - sometimes they are understood better one time or another.
It's a crapshoot. But when they aid to connect one with another - it can be a cool thing. |

Sometimes, I look at photos of myself (my self?) as a child and wonder if that child ever truly existed. "Existence" justs keeps slipping away like water through the fingers. |
