You seem very interested in language and words. We would all agree on words’ imperfections as it relates to the subject of Buddhism. You seem to take a particular offence to the inexactness of the words historically used. May I remind you that many words have been translated through 4 levels of language before they reach our ears. There are many word used in the original texts which simple have no English equivalent.
The dharma must be approached with an open heart to be spiritually enlightening. If you choose an academic approach your cynical cuts are in order. Yet I fail to see an academic spending this much time on a subject this boring if guidance was not being sought. MU

Oh my godfather, I just read that crap again and it was like reading crap for the first time. Oh my meister, you be carrying such a heavy weight load around on those big shoulder controlpads with the thinking and seeming for me and many more besides, you must be so exhausted with it all and how you will get it through this time and maybe maybe maybe next. Think up what the Buddha would say. And then again, maybe not eh? But if it helps you, if it makes it better, then you have my express permission to (man I love writing this stuff), create an idealised image of who and what you think I am, complete with your imagined reasons for why I am typing messages on this board, and then, yes, project all your crap on to it. |

Where did the sevengali go? He should have some important information for me round about now.
