Unbeknownst to me, at the time of the crunch, the crunchy delicious I crunched a crunch, ago juiced that the posters-were-a-crunching. I know that may not seem to make a deal of sense but that is what I was told - anyway - I'm just the messenger - no wait, now the apple is me too - yeah, it's the apple talking. |

I have to eat something. And the apple told me to. The tree's rootstock is still, and still in, the ground, grounded, winded, by the wind, and seeded, on the wind. |

Yes, she was a strange woman to a little boy, sitting anxiously in the window, always the window, looking out the window and up and down the street, picking her nails until her finger ends bled with her sleeves rolled up and ready for a fight, looking for Jesus. Telling the little boy that it wouldn't be long now, Jesus would be along anytime now to take her away, to fetch her away from all this here horrible horrible world with its horrible people like whatshername down at number 22. |

And the little boy would look, face upturned, like the dark side of the moon and try and compose his features into an acceptable expression into one of understanding and interested concern with just a hint of intelligence, not too much in case he got a clip round the ear, but planning an escape and knowing something just isn't right here, there in that window, with the stranger for a grandma. |

Many years later, she lay on a hospital bed looking all mad and screaming at the doctors and nurses, demanding that someone take her home, appealing to the brothers. When I walked in she said 'holy Mary mother of God, it's Jesus, you've come Jesus'. I said, 'no it's me mama'. 'Take me away', she said, 'I can't trust anybody here, they're all plotting behind my back to keep in this place, take me with you, where you're going'. 'No', it's me, not Jesus. 'Oh you're not in with them,' she said, 'I see it all now.' |

Oh how we all laughed that massive nervous rictus onto our faces. Grinning like foxes eating shit out of a wire brush. Oh dear, that's funny...ha ha ha. Whatever next...tut tut I don't know. Come along now. You'll be better soon. Everybody in the room was lying their heads off. To each other, and knowing it. Anyway, past the window one final time, slow, slowly, looking easy and quietly still, with nobody in the window looking up and down the street. |

Creative energy - it doesn't do to try and control it. There's this Ingmar Bergman kind of fear, a being scared of nothingness, scared of an interpretation of emptiness, scared of the end of creativy with a capital c, scared of losing the mind. Frightened to death of death. Four o'clock in the morning (is it happening?) and it's 'Oh god don't let me lose my mind' - you can see and feel it in his beautiful films. |

For love to work it's got to flow. It;s the seant of the heart that speaks to the heartin love. Look at that person with the eyes of compassion. Have love in your eyes. |
