If there was nothing to these worthies [Buddha's, patriarchs,
sages] but wine-drinking, meat-eating, pointless chatter,
aimless wandering, and the random compilation of bad
poetry… then, everywhere, villainous bald asses would
justify [their own wanton behavior] using these
worthies' names. The monastic institution would be
transformed into a den of rogues and criminals.
This would cause the Buddhist school to fall into
disarray, and might even lead to its destruction
(Jigong quanzhan 27.11b, from Faure 1998, 110-111

Wating is good, it's part of the practice, before the tea, just as, if not more important.
Consider Rustic's posts to be a tea. And consider the waiting around that.
One does not force the tea to become more than it is, before it's time. Each thing is as it is, without the need to change it to fit "our" style.
Each one of us individually has a style unique to us, and this place has certain positive interactive perimeters, which values freedom and creativity in making, causing us to express the thoughts of our being, here, where we all are... to, for, and with each other.

The biggest, and best portion of any practice is in dealing with emotions and fears that we do not want, and seeing the value in the hard times that we have become blind to. What we want may not be the best thing to work with. Just sitting does not satisfy any need but to have the inner turmoil surface and transpire to see that we are capable of existing without the desire to add another statement to the list, entertain another basically selfish delight, or find purpose in blaming another as excuse. We become the other, and drop the dual shift between opposites, inside as well as outside.
Once silence causes a separation from the "usual" way of doing things, we open to subtle perceptions that have no word content to either bring attention to, or avoid the feelings that do not fit in with the established peer group we admire or identify with. One discovers enlightenment alone, and can relate to "another's" based now on the identification of value in all, each and every experience.
