Hi I'm new to Zen Buddhism and look forward to my journey ahead. This question may seem ignorant if not irrelevant. However, I wanted to buy a wrist mala (and then buy 108 bead mala later) to cite my mantras and I was wondering how might I go about picking out a material and the mantras to go with that specific material?
It's a personal taste thing. If that's what you want there are plenty of websites you can visit that sell mala, prayer beads, rosaries. Or you could make a set from raw materials.
