How is every one doing. Well I hope. Just a bad start of 2008 for me. Thats why I turn to you for your deep understanding,love,compassion,kindness. All what we were born with. Well still out of work,car is pain in the but, looking for work is a bummer.But i find a little peace in you all. Take good care of one other. LOVE RORY.:)

Getting a job.. Think for you? Ok..
Why not MAKE a job? First, exchange the word "job" with "income", ok? Income can be generated a numerouse ways. Here is some suggestions.
1. Go trough all kinds of advertises, e-bay, whatever. Find expensive things with fixed price. and/ or stuff in the "give away" section.
2. Advertise these things elswere with double price, seek out buyers.
3. Then buy cheap sell expensive.. (houses and realestates is one directione to go from here.. :))
or...
1. Put in 3-4 different ads in the local paper (best with a few different numbers/ cell phones thou).
"Do paint jobs" "Fix virus and computer problems" "Moving? Be lazy, call 555-12345" "Full house claeaning! Call 555-RIPUFLAT"
2. Negotiate price.
3. Do job.
or..
1. Get up at 4 in the morning. Make a tonn of sandwiches. Be there when the morning bus is letting of people to work in the nearest place that generates a crowd.
(Have a cooling bag around neck with big sign. Breakfast! This and that sandwich 2 bucks each packet. Or sell icecream on the beach if it`s hot. (gallon bucket put into round lumps on sandwich cones whatever.)
2. Get made a painting that looks like it is Monet, Picasso, whatever. Fake the signature on it so it looks like an unknown picture from the master (better to go for some not to mainstream publicly known master, maybe "a picture worth thousands not millions"). Then get 5-7 different "real" but relatively worthless paintings. Then find some sleazy antique or second hand shop. Say U found all the paintings in a container/ addict/ wherever. And that U have no clue on art, but have an offer on 800 for the lot somwhere else. Then let the evil man rip U blind if he fails to point out the treasure amongst the pictures..
3. Sell U`r body or crack cocain:)
So, there U go.. Anyone else have some clever idea for Rory?.. |

'What's a man to do'? - don't worry about 'doing', that's what. But then you equate 'stop on my self' with 'giving up on my self' which won't help either. |

No need to remind yourself, indirectly you're telling your sub-conscious to store it and it will play out again when the time is ripe.Back to square one.

Thank you, Thank you. I see it as you all told me take care of your self rory I did I went back to the people that know me and run a warehouse corgo/fright company. It's all work. I didn't forget how to do this type of work even know I did'ot do in 5 years I stared right were I left off 5 years ago. Wow I got a brain and it work right for this type of work. I felt that way once. I'm 39 so, there's a 10-year difference, but the feeling is the same.
One day, someone slapped me in the face and told me to wake up. The job market is fierce and there are a great many people competing for your job. Employers don't want people who come groveling on their knees, they want people who can sell themselves and their skills. You have to make an employer believe you are better qualified for the job than the other people who are applying for that job.
I'm a computer technician with a degree in electromechanical and who is currently servicing office equipment (printers, fax machines, copiers, etc.) for a living. Competition sucks, but it's out there. One must learn to compete in this market if one is to survive and put food on the table. I learned that the hard way when I worked in the aerospace industry in the Seattle area in the early 90's (right about the time Boeing pulled out and went overseas.)
If you can't find what you're looking for in the Bay area, then, perhaps, you should look elsewhere.
Just a thought, take it for what it's worth.

Also, my father - who had been an electrician and instrumentation technician for over 30-years (and who had worked himself into a rut and was beginning to feel like he couldn't do any better), went back to school when he was 50. He and I both share the same degree in Electromechanical technology. He was able to use his new found skills (along with his previous experience) to help build and maintain an Anheuser-Busch malt plant in S.E. Idaho. He also builds combat robots and has had one of his middle-weight bots get featured in a Battlebots promotion video.
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

To live dangerously means to live. If you don't live dangerously, you don't live. Living flowers only in danger. Living never flowers in security; it flowers only in insecurity. If you start getting secure, you become a stagnant pool. Then your energy is no longer moving. Then you are afraid... because one never knows how to go into the unknown. And why take the risk?
