just as the sky is untouched by the rain so is the Wholeness unaffected by (insert anything here)

The sky is not untouched by the rain. The bottom part gets soaked routinely.
Reminds me of a joke my biker friend told me. Said he ran into one of his old lady's ex-boyfriends who asked him how he liked her since he had worn her out. He said she was great, except for the first inch or two.
