→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: EXPLAINING BUDDHISM
vertical line Posted on Jun.15.2008 @ 11:20AM EDT by Mslapik
When you're explaining Buddhism to someone who doesn't know a lot about it, what would you say to answer these questions:

1. "Why should I remove the desire to help others, how can that do harm?"

2. "With out desire, you'll remove suffering, but you'll also remove happiness."

3. "Well shouldn't you be passionate about what you do?"

You can probably tell that the phrasing you use is as important as the idea.
