A monk came to say good bye to Ch'an master Niaowo (Bird's Nest). He said:
-Thank you, Sir, for everything you've done for me. Now I got to go.
-Where will you go?
-Any place where I can learn Buddha dharmas.

Why remove the desire to help others? I know it keeps you away from truth and from happiness, but I guess I just don't understand how, once one attains enlightenment, they still do things with no desire. How can they act with no desire, and why do they bother acting if they understand unknowing?
