What, monks, is the world? The eye and shapes, the ear and sounds,
the nose and smells, the tongue and tastes, the body and tactile objects,
the mind and mental objects - these... continue...

→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: AWARENESS.
vertical line Posted on Jul.27.2008 @ 08:21PM EDT by shayne

awareness is not attention.

when paying attention to the breathing you will notice you still hear, see, touch and smell.

this awareness is whole.

we do it all at once.

we do it automatically.

the attention if viewing emptiness will notice the mind is turned inward. this inward reflection on emptiness is the soul of the individual.

the attention being the peak of emptiness.

emptiness andf fullness are mutual.

emptiness fills the body. the body being the vessel.

The spirit of the swordsman.

Or the sword of the spirit?

Not the time of awareness or attention.

What is the experience when you are in that moment?

the attentiveness is to be worked out in accord with the tools that have undergone training.

bruce lee.

something like that anyway.

in other words.

let the tools ( the fist sword ect,,) work out its function as you attentivelly pay attention to your opponant.
