vertical line My eyebrows are like... let's just say, are dwarfed by my hairlip.

And what does this have to do with Satori? I ask...

If I didn't have to explain anything, my eyebrows would be in my tea.

Ya see?

So if seeing is the modality of enlightenment, we begin to look in, at another, if we can. Some can, most not.

And the looking in, the seeing with the mind's eye teaches an inner aspect, and more vivid than the outer image, but the two are united.

oh... here come the tears

There is nothing to know.

That's what one knows when one has Satori.

Some call that 'Total Freedom'.

vertical line Just get to the specifics! Oh, can't be done. Liar!

I just called myself a liar.

What you are experiencing right now holds the key to... opening... the... gate, and letting in the light.

And then... poof! gone, ya just drop it, and smile, thanks

You're a poet Woodsy.

The tears.  Some things you can't fix, no matter how great the healer.  But you can be there, as long as you can be, for comfort sake.

vertical line In a darkened theater, just me and the Projectionist.  I have no idea what the feature is. Whatever the Projectionist comes up with next.  A hodge podge of this and that.  Makes no sense really.  But I have nowhere else to go and nothing else to do.  And anyway, it is very entertaining.

The term Satori is Japanese for 'understanding'.  Thus the Masters of Japan do not judge whether one has achieved, attained, or experienced Satori.  They look to see if one 'has' Satori.  I have heard it said they can tell just by looking at a photograph of the person.

Osho said there was a state beyond Satori that he called Samadhi.  That is probably so.  The affects of Satori are not immediate.  Gangaji said it is like when a fan is turned off, and the blades keep turning for awhile as they slowly come to a stop.

I would say Satori comes from within, and then everything is within.  There is nothing you can do to make it happen.  But I do believe that the more prepared you are, through study and meditation, the better your chance of staying alive, if you want to.

satori looks for satori. it is not an object inner nor outer.

this ENLIGHTENED mind knows.

for it has woke up to itself since the age of 13.

when i looked and pondered and looked and pondered.

finally one day i said to myself.

what are you looking for?

then i realized it was my own mind.

i discovered my own mind.

the attention.
