When Yang-shan Hui-chi (807-883), as a young monk, paid a visit to the Ch'an master
Hsing-k'ung, there was a monk who asked Hsing-k'ung:
-What is the meaning of the Patriarch's coming from the West?
Hsing-k'ung replied:
-Suppose... continue...

vertical line Not if you just simplify and get into your body more. Feeling over thinking, releasing over holding on.

vertical line I overdid everything, too much thinking, too much feeling, to much worrying. I was drawn to meditation, nothing fancy, just as a way to relax more. I went through a kind of awakening and it scared the bejesus out of me. I then went in search of information but I soon became overwhelmed by it all and had to take a step back. Then it came to me recently that I don’t have to do anything, it is all being done for me. It’s like I am taking a back seat and finally letting go of the steering wheel.

vertical line I feel it's relatively common of people who look a little deeper at truth to have had a dissociative experience prior to the more unified experiences (i could reference that with a text and a  little work, at least it sounds like something I've read which may validate one's concerns, and add some relief). I guess as far as advice goes I'd stay clear of the mind altering drugs, or any substances of mood alteration, because they just offer more delusion based on need. It's the simple stuff in life that can offer the most depth, or the ability to empathize.

vertical line I live a simple life. I don't smoke or do drugs never have. I dread to think what kind of mess I would be in if I did. It has been a struggle to understand this as it is. I would be very thankful of anything you might suggest to read. It is all becoming much clearer but I have no one to share my discoveries with and therefore no feedback as to how I am actually doing.

vertical line Another good book is 'Spiritual Emergency When Personal Transformation Becomes a Crisis', by Stanislav and Christina Grof., also offers a good appendix in back for further readings on alternative understandings on psychosis.

You dont need to apologize.

vertical line So then, after all the fear and pain have been absolved, pushed aside, there is just, an open palm. In the openness comes the healing, from within, granted from without.
