On one occasion, the Buddha said to the monks this:
"No other form do I know, O monks, that so persists in obsessing the mind of a man as the form of a woman.
The form of a woman persists in obsessing the mind of a man.

"No... continue...

→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: THAT'S LIFE
vertical line Posted on Sep.13.2008 @ 09:01AM EDT by immortal 1

I had a dream last night and came to know that I was dreaming.

In the dream I was looking in a mirror and I had hair.  That's when I realized that I was dreaming because it has been a long time since I had hair.

When I came out of the restroom at the Truckstop, in the dream, I found that the people I was traveling with had taken my car, and all of my possessions, and ditched me there with no money.  f#@$%^&s !!

Even though I knew I was dreaming, and that it would all mean nothing after I woke up, I still had to deal with the circumstances of the dream and find a way to get home.

That's life, I mean that's what life is like too.  Even if you know that this is all just the perception you are experiencing now, and that it will all be essentially meaningless later, you still have to deal with the circumstances of these times you are in now.

All dreams are nothing less than an experience just like any experience.

They are normally a revelation of what your current feelings are in response to your current life experiences.

All characters in the dream are you.

So, how do you treat you?

And then, in reality, all being nothingness, again, how do you treat you.

Which is the dream?

The conscious-me. The unconscious-all else-me.

vertical line neo, while in the matrix, cannot unplug himself from the matrix

a character in your dream cannot wake up from the dream--anything she apparently does is part of the dream. when she realizes she's in a dream--that's part of the dream too.

but there is no way "in to" or "out of" the dream.

.........

Whether or  not I can awaken from a dream varies.  Sometimes when I come to realize I am dreaming I choose to stay in it, other times I choose to wake up.
This particular time I could not seem to wake up, like I was stuck there.

One time I chose to wake up, and was telling someone about my dream and that I was able to wake up by choice, and then I woke up to realize that the whole thing had been a dream and that I had not awakened as I had thought. afterall.

But all in all, I love my dreaming adventures, and I do consider my dreams to be as much 'real life' as real life.
