the court of the monastery, a man asked him:
-Ch'an monastery supposed to be clean and pure. Why is there dust to sweep?
Chao-chou replied:
-It came... continue...

vertical line Posted on Oct.02.2008 @ 05:25AM EDT by immortal 1

What is it all about?  Entertainment.

There is not anyone but you in existence.  You are alone.  Naturally.

The rest you made up.  You are the Writer, Producer, and Director of your own Play.  You are the Actor who plays all the parts.  These Characters also make up the Audience, as you watch your Play unfold through countless eyes.

And when this Play is done, you will no doubt just start another one.

vertical line Each day, presents us with many opportunities to be free, and offer freedom and love to all. It's still night though, so I offer freedom here, to wherever and whoever the need arises.

You're a caretaker, Woodsy.

That is probably the best summation of your Buddha Nature.  And it seems you are living it well.  You have the compassion to reach out.

vertical line Something is changing too, in my care giving ability, it's becoming more, profound, with each relationship,  ( and they can run pretty deeply and quickly into grief ), there seems to be a truer sense of connection. I listen to Pema Chodron tapes to and from work on the road, if it isn't too busy, and she speaks of the connection. Or on my walks, there is a stop sign that I use, seeing it after coming over a hill, where I see it as a chance to just stop, and wait, and listen to the wind in the trees, the wonderfully dynamic call of birds all around, or even things like land, object characteristics. And my thoughts, connect me to emotions I have only felt in part in the past, for loved ones who have passed away, but are in my thoughts, and there, in my memory, I expand in love to them. I must look pretty weird, a tall figure, within a hooded sweat shirt, tears rolling down, just here to be, who I am meant to be, from the beginning of time. I just want, to connect, and let all the other stuff, just fall away, like dust in the wind.

You are not alone,   Buddha teaches that we are all part of a whole.  All beings are interconnected.  When we see this at our core. we feel a sense of bliss, and inner peace.

Enlightenment is my opinion, is the abiliy to see how you are part of the whole.  Whether you refer to the whole as Nature, God etc is not important.

We all have the ability to become enlightened at any time.  You just have to see that your feeling of seperateness is an illusion.

I hope to able to tell what is illusion. and what is real in my lifetime. Life is a journey without a destination.   We continue to grow as long as we live.
