On one occasion, the Buddha said to the monks this:
"No other form do I know, O monks, that so persists in obsessing the mind of a man as the form of a woman.
The form of a woman persists in obsessing the mind of a man.

"No... continue...

vertical line Posted on Oct.15.2008 @ 10:02PM EDT by Lakshmi_0m
I was meditating today and seeing anger that i was feeling as a painting.  as the meditation continue, i witnessed my own conception.  sperm + egg.  has anyone else ever experience this?

What do you feel?

What do you know?

Was there anger at your conception?

With respect.

vertical line I think what you saw was meant for you only. It has no meaning for anyone else besides you.

It's very difficult to say anything about true nature of things. I, for example don't have a clue. :)

vertical line Perhaps, but we're not the ones to judge that. Let's ask:

Do you think it was imagination, in other words, just tricks of your own mind?

vertical line Each moment, we can be connected to the alternative of suffering. Even when the sky is dark, the mind is brilliant as the sun.

.........

What is not imagination?

Or as Einstein put it, Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Einstein defined genius as looking at one thing, but seeing something entirely different.

We put the I in imagination.  The rest is magic.

vertical line So here I am, sitting eating cereal in the kitchen, looking out the front window, having a thought that has a certain tonal quality, in that what I am seeing and thinking correlate. As I am having the connection, I wonder if it is true and valid, but not by external force because I have no spoken words as yet. So I look back, with a question, and there, still, yellow leaves are fluttering on only one tree in the woods. It is like any another, any other thought, any yellow tree, but alive with a certain quality of being chosen, out of nothing, and needing no confirmation to be anything less or more than that, in there.
