Transmission can only come from Buddha itself.  No substitutes.  No one can claim credit other than Buddha itself.  The whole lineage thing is just needless labels.

When my father was dying with cancer he said he did not want to be reincarnated because it hurt too much to die.  I said, Thats a tall order Dad, but we will see what we can do.

Then in meditation I asked Buddha to give him its transmission.  But I did not expect much because Dad had never been open to metaphysical ideas.  I was trying to help him prepare for death, but everytime I tried to talk to him about such things he would tell me to shut up.  He was a staunch Catholic and would hear of nothing else.

A day or two later, he excitedly told me he had met The We.  After that we were able to talk about metaphysical things for hours.  But not for long.  He not only was no longer afraid to die, but was very ready to die.  So he soon refused all food and drink and was dead in a few days.

I have missed him very much, but I am also very happy for him that he received Buddhas transmission before he died.

if enlightenment is it doesnt stand outside oneself or within oneself. it comes in the fact of being that which looks for enlightenment IS enlightenment.

as a matter of fact...what can be found can be lost.

so its not a something to focus on.

it comes in the form of having a CHANGE of mind.

its discovery of the own mind.

mind looks for mind.

"That" is just a word.

Fully describe that which is, and then fully describe the description, and then fully describe the description of the description... or something. Reminds me of the golden ratio ;).

What is "that which looks"?

What exactly is a "banana muffin"? You could describe the chemical properties and the atomic arrangements, but there are some that would disagree:
"Inwagen would reject the claim that tables are identical to atoms arranged tablewise because he rejects the claim that composition is identity"
from here.

call it what you want.

many follow many religions.

few follow that which seeks the religion.

it is above all else a name.
