"But," asked Vaccha persistently, "when one who has this emancipation of mind
(freed from self) dies, where does he go, where is he reborn?
The Buddha replied:
"The word 'reborn' does not fit the case."
"Then he is not reborn?"
"To... continue...

→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: PRACTISING & FOLLOWING
vertical line Posted on Nov.20.2008 @ 11:48PM EDT by noumenal

The ego lives in time. No time: no ego.

Practising happens only in time. It takes time to practise.

So, practising perpetuates ego.

The ego lives in space too. No space: no ego.

Following (someone or something) happens only in space. It takes space to feel at a distance from someone or something.

So, following perpetuates ego.

For such self-perpetuating cunning, does the ego deserve a medal?

How is it that you know this or any-thing for that matter?

Being is you the individual and all else as one, not two.

Yes. The paradox that you dont yet know.

Where is there such a thing as an ego.

Find it, and let me know what the experience is like.

What is it like to dissect IS.

Is = ego = spaciotemporal phenomenality = the noumenal's surface appearance. How do I know? I don't know. But there is nothing else but those two sides of the one coin. How could I not know? So, I know and I don't know. Words have their limit.

so meditate on that which was before thought

then you may begin to figure the extension of the whole idea of that which you knew before

the backward step as we should be learning

[hmmm]

Yes, the gap between the thoughts - and within them. Utter simplicity coexisting with thought's complexity.

Where exactly in the cosmos was there no thought???????

What is the experience of thought??????

We now ignorantly assume that thought is ours.

In no-thing-ness where is the room or space for thought??????

When did no-thing-ness start????????????????????????????????????

Meditate on no-thing-ness.

Tell me what you find.
