Tanzan and Ekido were once traveling together down a muddy road. A heavy rain was still falling. Coming around a bend, they met a lovely girl in a silk kimono and sash, unable to cross the intersection. "Come on, girl" said Tanzan at... continue...

→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: RELEASING ANGER
vertical line Posted on Jan.27.2009 @ 10:56AM EDT by Woodsman
Like one of the most precious gifts we have, seems unable to easily give up, but after everything else goes, anger is on the list as the last one to go.

vertical line Quote: "Anger, easy to befriend, hard to let go. You inspired me to make this "Zen poem" :

Anger is not you`re enemy! I`ts a dear friend!
Just wanting to be in you`re presence, never difficult
to get hold of, always there for you!
Anger is very jealous thou! Anger wants keep other
people away, shield you, you and anger, you`re
understanding friend and companion.

Can anger be good, like sadness?.. Wonder if..

So it`s time for anger to leave. But anger has nowhere else to
go, so it hang around. Trying to not disturb you to much,
making itself invisible, just glad to be in you`re presence.
"

and as we include others in our space, the initial opening has equal balance, until the door itself is no longer closed, but hangs on the hinges we had created out of a need to push away stillness with the least possible effort, and pull in the right conditions, which rot off and fall with a syncopal beat of the dropping ground beneath us.

......... trying again and again is so sweet, but in the trying all can be lost.Trying is not real. It is forced. What is the source of the anger? For me there is frustration . Or sadness. Anger can lead to tears.I have a hard time not being seen or understood. It can lead to anger.Or something is off balance and one is living against their rhythum. I just see red flags with "nice" You can only be yourself.

Anger is nothing but pain! And I am furious at myself. All this talking, thinking and understanding means nothing when the real life test is in your face. And I fail miserably in spite of it all. I am done.Im leaving this all.Wether its running away or running to I dont know. It just seems to give me back something Ive given away. All I know is that in the past couple of years,Ive learned nothing at all.Its pointless. I am still the same. Its easier and much less painful to avoid situations that hurt than to keep trying to face them. Imgoing to go throw a big fit of anger! I am so not zen.

And,yes, this is all wrong.I need to be wrong.

vertical line Ok, anger, is like a bad fart. I had no idea who did it.

What really pisses me off, is when someone gets a "God bless you." for a sneeze. Like blow all your bacteria 6 feet in every direction, and "praise the Lord!" Not so fast, I just say... nothing, and cover my nose, and give them the finger, to stuff up there.

Anger is the child of Fear.

Whenever I find myself angry I ask myself what I am afraid of.

Dispense with the fear and the anger dissipates.

If the fear is justified, anger can be useful in dealing with it sometimes.

For instance if you are being physically attacked the fear is justified and the anger helps to produce the adreneline, will and determination to overcome your attacker.

Well, here's an example: last night, I was working around this female that began doing these rude types of loud behaviors around me. And it was to the point of thinking, "she is wanting attention, because even bad attention is better than no attention", so I didn't have an angry words, or expression, I just focused on my work... as usual. So, instead of anger I turned to a disbelief that anger serves any good, that all anger is created out of ignorance from someone's situation, once understood the ignorance fades away.

Makes more sense?

vertical line Then, or last night, part of me wanted to get angry in return for what seemed as anger toward me. Anger never works, only hardens things, and I always end up apologizing, and end up all wrong feeling. But silence, just stopping the usual pattern of words is immensely powerful, meaningful, the reason I am alive. But anger is coming out at me for being quiet. Again, karma.

Need more explanation?

vertical line These tests we have which might provoke an angry response have cycles, until they are released, as prisoners of our past. Every interaction that causes us to harden down to what we are experiencing creates a block between who we are, and who we thought we were, like a wall, that vanishes... then we become everyone else's anger, to help release, through our compassionate reflection.

ok, sorry
