One should not imagine oneself to be one with the eye or
independent of it or the owner of it.
The same with ear and all the other senses, including the mind.

I don't know, there is something about the beard that forms a kind of immediate bond between guys. You just see the other person's beard and find a common feeling, like, an itch that had to be put up with until the thing gets like an inch or so, then it goes through another feeling, like, some kind of alternative face, something truer, not all slick and smooth. Forget the suit and tie.
I would use the eye glasses look, but can't stand anything in front of my eyes. So, I have the bearded squinting look most of the time. I just try and feel my way to enlightenment, or the bathroom, at night.
