Mind your own business ... or you'll fall into hell.
Does anyone take this as good advice? [While hoping no one replies.] ;)

I don't know.
What burns in hell?
Heating systems can be hell but mind is cute and hell. Mind has important business to attend to, expanding huge amounts of energy squeezing itself into hell, taking nothing and making it finite. Sacramental absolution? Then collect Piety Points. Acquire the revered 100,000 points and you can exchange them for the much coveted 'Get Out Of Hell Free' platinum card.
Or
May you be assisted in whatever business has need of you.
And
The devil walked out of hell and gave the keys to dream. Now it's full of non-sequiturs and literalised daemons. |

Hmmm. Oddly enough that makes feel better.
But since knowing means nothing - then it is worse.
Looks like we (maybe?) have got crappy-town to deal with! ;)
Now reminding myself to always kill the messenger! ;) |

Ive been to Hell a couple of times.
This (Earth as we know it) isnt it.
Ive heard that when the Captain of a Russian airliner
announces they have left Russian airspace,
a great cheer goes out among the people on the plane.
Getting out of Hell is sort of like that. |

Recently I had the unhappy event of an exhaust pipe rusting out and breaking.
I bring it into "a place" to have it checked out. (Don't want to mention names, yet)
They said it would cost over 800 dollars to fix.
They said the car needed a front pipe and a new catalytic converter.
Well, every time I bring in a car that needs a new pipe, the guys at the shop say the car needs a new cat.
I'm suspicious and so ask what is the test for a bad catalytic converter.
I'm told that the cat was making the noise that I was hearing.
Anyone should know that noise is not the test to find out if the cat is any good or not.
I promptly take the car back and try another place. No one wants to just replace the front exhaust pipe.
So, I go and buy the front pipe, a new front gasket and the rear doughnut gasket and reuse all the screws.
Please note: All the screws were a bit..ch to take
off. But a good set of wrenches and a long piece of pipe helped to
break the nuts.
Now, cost 53 for the pipe, 5 for the front gasket, 9 for the rear gasket, add the sales tax ... total is less than 80 dollars.
Runs fine. No noise coming from the cat. Exhaust is water drops. No smoke.
If the car fails the emissions test then I will learn whether it needed a new catalytic converter or not.
Emissions test done, ... passed!!!
I'm minding my own business. But, what do I make of this type of thing??

I went to a dentist who told me I needed to replace all of my old fillings with new ones, and he had already sent my x-rays to the insurance company and received approval.
I went to another dentist and didnt say anything about the first. He said I had two cavities which would cost $40 each to fill. He became my new dentist.
What I wonder is whose x-rays got sent to the insurance company. |

In this world, we are not all farmers or auto mechanics or dentists ... So we are interdependent on each other for goods and services. How is one suppose to act when encountering such things??

I think these things are very much linked. I used to really believe I was in hell. I believed that I had done something terrible and that everything that was happening to me was my fault. But life is just life and events are just events without any greater need for a reason to be occurring than the fact that they are.
Life is very hard, full of ups and downs that just make it harder. So we form mental callouses to distance ourselves from life. Sometimes these scars serve to distance people from other people to create the illusory categories of us and them. They believe their troubles come, or would come, from the them and so they act preemptively making sure they always have more power than (and thus safety from) the them. Hence you get your swindlers, the bad dentists mechanics farmers what have you. They believe they are at war with reality. You have to be aware of them, they'll try to win by defeating you, but once you recognize the only applicable emotion is pity; their fear and pain must be terrible.
Sometimes these callouses serve to separate one part of reality from another. This is equally illusory and creates arbitrary distinctions in reality giving rise to corrupted notions like good and evil. This gives rise to believing you are evil and in hell, or that you contain evil and a hell resides within. Or perhaps that you are good and must contend with an evil world but I think this is more of a derivation of the first case. This is my callous and I've been working on it for almost three years now. I no longer believe I'm in hell. Reality is reality and the distinctions we impose upon it are arbitrary and impede our view of reality. But if I am not actively conscious about it the more globalized concept of good and evil will seep up into my worldview and my self view. I am working on it but I am nowhere near free of it. Yet I am much more at peace now (believe it or not). I still remember clearly the pain of being meshed in my own pain, and regret some of the ways I lashed out because of it.
So when you find these people who are still trapped behind their callouses, those people who lash out by trying to take advantage of you, try not to be too hard on them. They are already subjecting themselves to more pain than you could possibly dish out anyhow. |

I find that helping people is the best way to help oneself So, if you find a product or service that helps people then you are rewarded for such things The more people you can help then the bigger the reward.

I agree. Most people can't help, they aren't ready. But I think everyone wants to. That belief alone, irregardless of whatever else humanity has done, keeps my faith in these chattering apes. And i have a great deal of faith in them, and sympathy for them. People are more good than bad, they're just also more fearful than brave. Bold, yes, but fearful.
Either way, I think helping others is the most important thing too. This is my dream job: doctorswithoutborders |

hmmm good post naomi.
very smart one you are.
me i struggled a little with these concepts as well. i could imagine you felt certain things about yourself during your sickness. i would of god of allowing such sickness in the world in the first place. i think sickness is a satan thing though. not a god thing. not sure.
its just i SO hate sickness. hate the fact you got SO sick. i question the source of it all.

My Dad did his hospice with me for Cancer. He said he felt like he was already dead. I said "Me too, I've been dead for years."
I told him I only wished I could trade places with him, so I could go home to the Void.
That was six years ago, and lately I have not been feeling that way. Im still looking forward to getting home to the Void, but whats the rush ? All in due time. The Spirit knows what it is doing. Its all under control.
Nonetheless, what kills you may hurt but death does not hurt. |
