when they going to start releasing technology and working on better cars?

When the gas crunch hit last time, I got some books from Amazon, through this site actually, about converting vehicles to electric, and producing electricity by means of Sun and Wind to feed back into the grid for $ credit.

The opportunities definitely exist to reduce dependence on oil, coal, and natural gas. 

I got myself a little electric scooter to get around on locally, and used it until gas prices came back down again.  It has a big basket on it, so I could ride it to the store, up and down the aisles, and most of the way home.  Some of the hills were too much to carry both me and the groceries home and I had to walk sometimes.

Still curious about the use of charcoal briquettes in steam engines.  Maybe later.
