I love the first verse

I am grateful

If I try to tell people what I have experienced in the Void,

I feel like a blind man trying to describe the darkness to a sighted person,

just as a sighted person might try to describe light and color to a blind person, to no avail.

Unless you experience something yourself it remains subjective.

How can I describe an absence of even time and space to someone who knows nothing but these things?

Ah, maybe I have stumbled across something I can say about nirvana that may be helpful.

People assume that when they experience nirvana they will be themselves in full possession of their present consciousness, including all of their present knowledge and memories.

But thats how people know they actually experienced nirvana, because they remember it as a personal experience, even though they werent even there when it happened to them.

Thats why I say that when you experience nirvana there is no doubt about it because there is nothing left to doubt, not even yourself, the self you know as you.

Well, it almost seems like letting myself die in the process?? I can't let go .. not yet.
The thoughts are like tools by which I create this world.
What happens when it disappears? Do I lose my humanity??

You dont lose yourself when you find yourself,

You just find out who, or what, you really are,

in this Creative Matrix of Things as It is.

you find out who You are, and then you know who you are.

Delusion is the greatest gift.  Thats what is lost when you find yourself, when you find out who You really are.  The you that You gave Yourself is then uncovered, seen for what it is, and isnt. 

I laugh that now that I am older, and cant remember where I put things, I am finally old enough to hide things from myself.

I dont know anyone who is awakened who would rather not be.  None who would reverse the process if they could.  And none who do not see awakening as a sort of death because they have been stripped of the delusion of who they thought they were.

Maybe that is why not everyone survives awakening.  It took years of meditation before awakening, but if I hadnt had that preparation I probably would not have survived it.

You are something you have hidden from yourself.
