caring is the greatest virtue, but beyond that is caring for you country
if there was only participation with the people to the government many of our problems could be solved. instead nothing changes because nobody cares..

Hello there. Just returned from meeting one daughter off the train. Followed by an errand of mercy for another daughter who is ill in bed. |

I don't believe in patriotism, especially one sided patriotism.
Best wishes for all. Danke for caring.

We tend to forget that economic systems are just systems. There are goods and there are services, and we have the same resources available regardless of the system used to distribute them.
During the *Mini Ice Age* in Europe there were over 100 recorded famines, times when there simply were not adequate recourses available.
In America, the native tribes often suffered famine, yet today there is more wild game running around than before the white man arrived, circa 1600.
People are whining about Global Warming, even though the end of the Mini Ice Age corresponds with the beginning of the Industrial Age, and many scientist attribute the return to warmer and more prosperous temperatives to the Green House Effect caused by heavy industry.
This planet is like a lifeboat in the midst of an otherwise inhospitable universe. Lets all row in the same direction, and try to ensure that we have enough food and water onhand. |

It is I who am the wife; it is I who am the virgin. It is I who am pregnant; it is I who am the midwife. It is I who am the one that comforts pains of travail. It is my husband who bore me; and it is I who am his mother.
And it is he who is my father and my lord. It is he who is my force; What he desires, he says with reason. I am in the process of becoming; yet I have borne a man as lord.
