I started smoking grass back in the 60s. I wonder how much different my life would be if I hadnt. I dont think I ever had a more enjoyable hobby than growing my own pot.
I quit smoking it after awakening, but every once in a while I get some and smoke it for a while. I do like it, but it makes me part of the furniture.
Also it is a hullucinagen, not a downer as most people think. I would rather have schrooms of mescaline any day of the week, or even acid except that one comes with some discomfort.
I had a great kensho experience on acid one day back in the 70s. A friend asked, *Are you one with the universe, Don ?* I answered, *Man, I am the universe !* It was like I could feel everything all around me, as me. |

Not so. It might give you a really good feeling, or make you have some good thoughts. But if meditation to you is about good feelings and good thoughts, then you will keep having a problem.

And now, you can't feel everything around you as you, right?

The body has natural receptors that are attuned to cannabanoids. In fact, there is a man out there name Rick Simpson who swears that oil made from the plant (marijuana) can cure cancer. He had cancer and cured himself. You can search for Rick Simpson or Run from the cure. Or, you can go on youtube and search about how marijuana can cure many maladies.
As for the liberating consciousness, it doesn't. It may provide for some moments of scattered attention. But, nothing of higher consciousness value. Acid or mescaline or psilocybin are much better in terms of raising consciousness. Although mescaline takes longer and last longer. Psilocybin is a much milder trip. Of course don't take my word for this.
If you want a short cut to experience what something might be like ... But, it is a high and with all highs .. there is a down side. |

Do you mean to tell me that you don't need to laugh?? Or is it that you do not want to laugh??

When I was in High School, my parents asked me why I was doing drugs. I said, *Your brain is like a radio. Why listen to the same station all the time? Drugs change the station on my radio, and each one is like a different station.*
At first, when I got into metaphysics, I think drugs helped in the beginning, to see things differently, to break away from the norm.
Later, after awakening, they seemed to get in the way. So I stopped doing them. When I moved out west in 1993, I didnt have a dealer out here, and I havent looked for one. Ive got some seeds around somewhere, and I could get a medical marijuana certificate, but I just dont want to get back into drugs. I dont need them, and I dont want them.
Of course, every once in a whie I may indulge, but not as a habit. |

Quote: "Maybe just breathe in the air outside in the woods, so fresh and clean, no worry.
" ......... You mean the woods that smell of trees and bushes and animal dung?? The only thing you have to worry about is getting lost and may be frost bite. But, hey what is losing a toe or two compared to breathing so much pollen that you can't stop sneezing for a week??
What you so obviously enjoy is only one side of a coin. The other is hidden while you gaze on this side only. Thanks ... I'm a city boy. |
