It is arguable to say that I even really exist. How can I be dead or alive then ?
My understanding is that I am as I am being created, by my Self, and I can be uncreated just as easily.
A buddha is someone who becomes awakened without a teacher, and an arhat is someone who becomes awakened with a teacher. A meaningless distinction, since awakening always comes from the Self because there is no one else, whether through a teacher or not.
Whether one is hit with a hand or a stick held in a hand makes no difference since the end result is the same.
I have never understood what is meant by killing the buddha. Except maybe that there should be no middle man between yourself and your Self. Accept no substitutes.

I rose up this morning and the first thing I see, that stands out to me since I am simple dud, and dude, is a leaf floating in the very center of the backyard birdbath. And it is motionless, as I stand looking at if for a minute. Then go up front and see the birdbath out there is tipped over, the raccoons have had a drink at night, it was at the center of their desire to taste what the birds bathe in. So that one is needing a fill. But first fix the dog gate in the hallway so pups can't run free to the back and wake me up again on a day where I can sleep past seven am |
