TOPIC: WAY POINT |

Awakening, the Void, nothingness, whatever you want to call It....
Its only a goal, destination, or end result, until you reach it,
and then it is a way point of sorts, between who you were and who you are.
Its what happens with you after you find out who or what you really are that matters.
Which I suppose means there is no end.

Honest aliveness is uncaused. The breath of the universe is surrendering your life moment after moment. It's of course, naturally, the Way. |

I'm slowing down a bit. Been thinking a lot about becoming more socially active, and will begin by playing my guitar and singing in public places. I'm going to move into a different dimension of myself, one that I'd forgotten, and will breathe life into a social me.... It's my new meditative posture. |

Cool man! This summer a buddy of mine started a baseball game. A group of us have been showing up every sunday to play. Its been a social thing. I've even got in touch with some old high school buds.Im Thinking about writing some new songs on the piano, too. |

Feeling the heat of the desert heart - it started with a kiss, never thought it would come to this - Alpha and Omega revealed in the present moment. And notwithstanding family, friends and neighbours, I haven't played guitar, ukulele, piano or blues harp to an audience for a while, free fee paying. But I'm continually writing the song, the book, and the book of songs and growing fruits of light. So anyway, I love the Word, living the Word. |

As I stop right not I sense a feeling of vibration in my left side neck, almost a pulsing vibration of it's own timing, slow pulse. As I move just the slightest the vibration ceases. Oh, it's created by my position in the chair writing. I sit back and breathe. Whoah, I'm closing my eyes right now, the vibrations are moving up into my head.

Once upon a time, when I would stop the internal dialogue and just breathe, it would feel like my body was relaxed but my head felt like a brick.
Then I learned of some Yoga relaxation exercises that prevent cramping or whatever.
Tensing and releasing muscle groups one at a time, and then the whole body all at once.
First legs, tense them up for a few seconds and then let the tension go. Then arms, torso, scrunch up shoulders and neck, and lastly face. Then the whole body all at once. This has the effect of releasing tension that has built up in the muscles.
Then assume your usual meditation posture. For me: lying on back, arms at sides, fingers to thumbs, feet elevated is better, no pillow for head preferable, motionless, silent....
This was back around the late 70s early 80s. I had been planning to build a Sensory Deprivation Tank, but found with these exercises I didnt need one. After a few minutes I could no longer feel my body. |

Merci, Woodsman. Perhaps my own has never stopped at all, smiles. That is true. I do not have the same depth of realisation and peace and love that you share.
With kind thanks, Abu
