Discernment should only last through the 9th or 12th alignment. These times are significant to Spirit. Must it depend on your motive on which you choose. Life is only a moment in eternity and the less you spend dwelling the better. If you are beyond the 12th alignment (what I mean in counting in the second link) there should be a rethinking and renewal of motivations regardless of progress. This keeps the heart young and the mind fresh. Continue with your work or whatever by all means but continue with more aliveness, vision and happiness.
