TOPIC: DANGERS OF HAVING A DREAM |
|
|
 |
Posted on Oct.21.2012 @ 07:23PM EDT by QuantumZen
I am quite a dreamer. I have lots of different dreams which I share with my friends. For example I really want to climb Mont Blanc with my closest friends. And I have a life long dream of traveling to New Zealand. These dreams keep me going, give me motivation and make up a huge part of my life. But isn't it a perfect example of attachment? How do I incorporate somewhat egoistic feeling of wanting to go there, do that or see something with clear mind of selfless and emptiness?

In dreaming too, there is the horizon, power point, and ground. Reaching common ground with your a dream is flow with life. Close the circle means moving on weather you have made the dream a reality or not. But I'm thinking too much. |

Sit-teh is right ... close the circle. Bring to bear all that is your desires and dreams and do them or not So, make it part of your journey to finish what you started.
Good Luck to you ... New Zealand sounds like a wonderful trip.

Quote: "That's a dream to some, a nightmare to others. " .........As everything in life, dreams are neither good, nor bad. It is the mind which plays the hand right or wrong. One can be imprisoned in his fantasies and suffer a lot, whilst other can enjoy their dreams as a driving force ignoring the final result. Whether I end up in New Zealand or not it is a nice place to dream about :) |

I was always imagining fantasy to be something more negative. As to say- adictive and dangerous, and dream- a meaning for one's life which you create yourself. Therefore a tool to go where you need to go. |
