1 2 & 3 are fairly self-explanatory on the face of it. Perhaps they have hidden depths.
I won't always give a hungry person something to eat because I don't always have anything to eat on me. Don't meet many hungry persons nowadays, at least not physically. Plenty of hungry ghosts apparently but I never feed them either though the Tibetans do.
I won't always speak if asked to if I don't have anything to say. Though I might say this.
Then no. 4 is on a different level. Maybe it means that a silent temple has no Buddha because it needs no Buddha.
How did I score? Only kidding.
