In Tokyo in the Meiji era there lived two prominent teachers of opposite characteristics. One, Unsho, an instructor in Shingon, kept Buddha's precepts scrupulously. He never drank intoxicants, nor did he eat after eleven o'clock in the morning....

had this dream vision.
siddhihartha and maitreya and the others were standing around while guatama did the flower sermon.
he held it up and said without calling this a name what is it.
maitreya a great contemplator and philosopher of his time looked down. thoughts raced...not quite enlightened but almost there. his mind.....fleeting back and forth between alternatives he finally looked up.
he looked at the flower. then looked back into guatamas eyes. he seen the love in his eyes as he gazed upon the flower.
then he thought when the pain is gone no concepts are attached too and reality is both the negative and positive of life......their is beauty in all. in fighting. in arguing. in lies and in truth.
then he spoke.
and said just simply.....beauty.
plucked the flower from siddhiharthas hand and it flew to the floor.
