Mu is Thoughts Destroyer.
How can you think of Mu. The moment you try to think Mu your thoughts are already destroyed forever...lol
Mu the thought destroyer. Try it and prove it yourself if it is not true and tell me if not correct...lol

Mu is popular because no one can figure it out...lol..
Mu is popular not because many understands it but because many don't understand it.

That is why Joshu is a Great Zen Master. A master with very few words.
A monk asked Joshu: Does a dog has Buddha Nature or not?
Joshu answered: Mu...
Thats it....lol

Thats why my Zazen practice is breath in awareness and breath out Muuuuuuuuu..... it destroys the thoughts before it arises... so no energy is uselessly used in watching thoughts arises and falls...
Imagine if years and years of zazen you are always watching your thoughts.. how much energy have you expended.. maybe you have used all the energy that you save while sitting in zazen..
Zazen is saving energy so you have Joriki to enable you to get enlightened... If you are spending your Joriki while you are building it up then you may even end up paying for it.. you have bad credit...lol

I understand Mu as the end and also the begining. When you come(reach) the Mu Self discovery begins and when you understand the Mu, Self discovery ends. |

self looks for self.
that which looks for self is it.
once you see this THEN self discovery.
and hardly ever a end to questioning.
mu is meaningless too btw.
a made up word to bring you possiably toward enlightenment.
furthermore thoughts are not bad.
when thinking think.
when not thinking its not thinking.
a struggle between two polarity opposite concepts is not good.
for both are your own self.
psst psst.....leo?
this means YOU!
read....reflect...wake up a little more.
stop your attachment.

Actually that is really true. That Mu is meaningless.
For how could you find meaning of Mu when you don't remember anything about Mu. You cannot even imagine Mu. So how could you find the meaning of Mu. So Mu is meaningless.
If you see a beautiful red rose are you looking for its meaning?

Mu is an answer.Question-answer.See?
If it is meaningless, what is it that many Zen practioners are ponder on for over centuries?
On the other hand you can not show me a single thing that is meaningless.
All the things that I perceive has a meaning. |

The practice is the awareness. Watching as thoughts arise and letting them go. It isn't to destroy thought. It isn't to stop all thought. It is a state where thought naturally and organically stop by themselves. You have this stopping thought and killing thought all wrong. You will never find what you seek by killing ... thoughts or anything else ... hahaha

"Mu" is just a word. Getting attached to it is the same as getting attached to the word "God" or "sex" or "money". |

"'This raft, indeed, has been very helpful to
me. Carried by it, laboring with hands and feet, I got safely across to
the other shore. Should I lift this raft on my head or on my shoulders,
and go on? No. I should pull it up now to the dry land, or leave it in
the water, and then go as I please.' By acting thus would a person do
what should be done with a raft. In the same way, I show to you the
Teaching's similitude to a raft: as having the purpose of crossing over,
not the purpose of being clung to." — Gautama Buddha, Alagaddupama Sutta 13 |

Leo you are a truly amazing being.
You not only have all the answers but you appear to have all the questions as
well.
You are a one-man Q & A
session. How many of you are there? is that why you put 99 after your name??

To keep it impersonal, I think the
sage in us asks the questions and the fool in us answers them. Though it might
be the other way round. I don't even know what it means. What do I know?
