Well if I am thinking of my Buddha Nature it would my Spirit. Something that I will never know and always doubting if it exists or not.
When I do not think my Buddha Nature is Just eating.. just eating watermelon.. thats it..
The experience of my Buddha Nature is very good.

I don't understand why some mix up thinking and not thinking to be about Buddha nature. When we sit in practice, sit in perfection, sit watching the breathe, we are not trying to stop thoughts. We are practicing awareness. Observing the breathe and keeping presence of mind. We neither chase thoughts nor do we suppress thoughts. Thoughts aren't the enemy of the enlightened mind. It is the wildness ... untamed nature of the present mind that requires control. The ten pictures of Ox ...
Look at the eightfold path .. right understanding, right mindfulness, right concentration, right thinking, right action, right livelihood, right speech, right effort. It isn't right no thinking or no thought. Make the right effort.
Well so much for my thinking about Buddha nature ... hahaha

Well I admit that you don't suppress your thoughts or you monkey mind. But that is only the intructions for beginners when they are counting their breath. Are you implying you are still a beginner?
I don't think the eight fold path was the teaching of the Buddha. This is precisely because an enlightened being is beyond right and wrong.

Beginner?? Sure, why not?? The basics are the foundation upon which you build. The more solid your foundation then the stronger your structure will be.
Buddha may be beyond right and wrong but you and the rest of us mere mortals are not .... hahaha

Personally, I do not like very large breasts on a woman. From above, they hang pendulously like cargo swinging around on a crane, and when below they fall off to the sides like water wings or some kind of floatation devices, leaving nothing on top at all.
I prefer the middle way, not too large or too small, perky is just right.

.........
I must have missed this part of Osho saying an enlightened being is beyond right and wrong.
I dont think so. I recall his saying that enlightenment doesnt change you. You are still the same person you were before.
Then the lights went out in the hall where he was speaking, and when they came back on he said that that is what enlightenment is like, the lights going out and then coming back on again.
That doesnt change you. It just makes you appreciate the light that was already there.
He says he laughed after awakening. I was devastated and I decided to keep it a secret. I didnt want to talk to anyone about it.
The next day on the way to work, my wife was driving as usual, and I saw a hawk flying up ahead. As I was looking at it, it pivoted in mid air and flew straight toward me. I thought it was going to crash into the windshield but at the last second it veered up and over the top of the car about 2 feet over my head. That was my first clue that things were different.
After I got to work, I was just going on about my business, acting non-chalant. I was in an office with four cubes in it. Around 10am, one of my office mates went and sat in another guys cube, next to mine, and asked, *How are we going to deal with the new Don ?* I said, *What are you talking about, theres no new Don.* He said, *Oh yes there is !!* But I still didn't tell them about it.
Its pretty much the same thing, but it affects everyone differently. I look into Oshos eyes and I can see it there. Its like he has *paid in full* stamped on his forehead, like someone whose account has been settled. |

Beyond right and wrong or good and evil as Nietzsche said.
If an enlightened person sees everything in its non-dual nature then it follows that they have gone beyond opposites or contraries. Impossible to live it in practice all the time.
If you served a dead rat to an enlightened person for him to eat, they'd more than likely turn it down. Or if you murdered one of their loved ones, they' d more than likely be slightly upset and take some time to get over it.

This is what Osho said of Zen which is when you can practice Pure Zen you are enlightened.
Quote: Zen brings great health to humanity. It says you are
both. Accept both. Don't deny, don't
choose; accept both. In that acceptance there is a transcendence, in
that very acceptance
you are neither a saint nor a devil. That is what a holy man is --
neither good nor bad, or
both. And when a person is both, knowingly both, those opposites cancel
each other.
Just try to understand this; it is one of the most fundamental keys.
When you accept both
the good and the bad and you don't choose, the bad and good cancel out
each other, the
negative and the positive cancel out each other. Suddenly there is
silence, there is neither
good nor bad; there is only existence, with no judgement. Zen is non-judgemental,
it is
non-condemning, it is non-evaluating. It gives you utter freedom to be. Unquote.
Osho - Zen is paradoxical because Zen is not a philosophy

I dont like to eat in restaurants because I know there are rat feces in the food, and that that is allowed by the Health Dept. I can do better at home, cheaper, with better ambiance, and not having to tip.
But if I was served a dead rat in a restaurant, that might be okay. Theres a big difference between rat and rat feces, afterall. I hear rat tastes like chicken. |

When evangelists come to the door saying they want me to help in Gods fight with the Devil, I always ask, *What makes you think God needs your help?*
That which is, whatever It may be, is being everything, good and bad alike. Its all part of the Creative Matrix, good and bad.
So Jesus is Dudley Doright, and Satan is Snidely Whiplash. Its just another story, played on the stage of the Creative Matrix.

Buddha nature ... hmm I'm thinking ... may be I should just eat watermelon ... hahaha
The world is not made of watermelons. And enlightenment is not achieved by stopping thought. Otherwise, I would take a hammer to everyone's head and enlighten every poor bastard .. haha No, raise your conscioousness ... become awareness ... read a book and learn ... do it, do it now .... go practice the secret art of sitting like the Buddhas. Hmm, too much thinking ... I think ... it is time to rest .... hahaha

Its not that life is hard, its just that we tend to be overwhelmed by it. Mostly it is hard to break the bonds of what others expect of us, and what we in turn expect of ourselves.
All through school they kept threatening me with my *permanent record*.
No one that I know of in life after school has ever given a rats butt about my permanent record in grade school. Some employers have asked about my college grade point average, which was an acceptable 3.2, but about High School and before they just dont care.
Yet we tend to go through life as though it matters what goes on our *pemanent record* or not. We worry about karma coming back to get us, or that our next life will be what we earn in this life.
We are the sum of all of our experiences, even the ones we dont remember, including those from other lifetimes, and dreams, and death in between lives, and that all comes together in something we call our buddha nature. |
