Maybe we can discuss what are Zen Masters.
If a Zen Masters errs in some moral conduct he is no longer a Zen Master?

It depends on the nature of the error. To some it would not mean nothing, to others it would mean everything which elevates or diminishes status. |

" ......... Yes, it depends on who is looking in .... If those who can not see beyond their nose watch the err then they will jump upon such things If those who can see then they will understand.
Be of good cheer ... Santa Claus is almost here ... hahaha

How about reality ?
Does it have the same rules to abide by as zen masters?
What are the rules for zen masters?
What is the difference between a zen master and reality?
Is it immoral to be a zen master whom is not reality?
What does reality expect from reality?

Well for example the sex scandals that some Zen Teachers are accused with. I am not sure if they are Zen Masters though.

I think you must realize that a master of zen is a master of zen.... he is not a master of everything. Just like a master of the flute is not a master in the kitchen so a master of zen is not a master of ascetics. |

I would have to agree with you, it is behavior which is easy to see leads you into suffering. If a person does not know how to minimise or restrict the illusion (cut it of at the root) then how can they be a master?
and in-proper sex is the easiest of all illusions to see. and the quickest to experience. (the karma of action) just sleep with the neighbors wife and set the timer on your watch, for a practical example.

Monastic rules only apply in a monastery.
That is in order to keep the place operating in a was that facilitates what people are there for.
Same reason ushers come around and ask people to be quiet in the movie theatre. People traveled to get there, and paid money to get in, to see the movie, not to listen to some idiot making wise cracks. |

Is there any difference between Zen talk and complete nonsense?
Reality doesn't have any rules to abide by. It can do anything it wants. And often does. Not that it wants to do anything.
The difference between a Zen master and reality is that the first is a person and the second is everything that is. In other words, very little difference really.
Reality expects reality to be real. But it is often disappointed that it is now almost devoid of expectation.

So Zen Masters can have sex too as some ordinary beings.
How come they say they are sex scandals..
