As far as I understand an enlightened being lives a nice honest life, help others and isn't concerned with imaginary problems other people have (I'm talking about income tax xD), while he can still lose his temper or feel down once in a while (because he is not a stone Buddha). Moreover, every now and then he (willingly or not) experiences deep spiritual feelings (like being one with the universe). I think I had a glimpse of that once. So I would think that this is the way of Buddha. One couldn't be it all the time, how would he pay the income tax?

income tax as he was self-employed and well
below the tax threshold.
And he was ‘like that’ all the time so he had his cake and
ate it. It's one of the perks of being enlightened. I don’t pay income tax either.
