It seems some here believe that Zen is here to stop thoughts or thinking And Zen is here to kill the ego. Zen does this and Zen does that .... no, no, no, .... MU
Zen is the practice of Zazen. Practice sitting in perfection. Sitting in awareness Observing ... watching ... honoring thought as it arises and falls away. Back to breathe ... awareness ...
Your mind can not see itself with all the distractions of thoughts So, they are released ... let go ... letting the mind become peaceful ... A peaceful quiet mind can then reflect this mind ... And maybe one can see then see it in all its beauty.
If you think Zen is more then it becomes more If you think Zen is less then it becomes less Like water, it fills the container and takes it shape What shape are you in ... hahaha

Misconception ... thinking is bad, we need to stop thinking Thoughts and thinking are ways we use our minds to help us deal with the world What could be wrong with thinking??
Our minds are just that ... our mind. Thoughts are useful. But, they have their limits. When you become so accustomed to thoughts, your mind goes on and on with thoughts. When we want to see our own mind, see our true nature, we can not. Like the eyeball can not see itself. So, we sit watching our breaths. Letting thoughts arise and fall away. Not chasing nor suppressing thoughts. We practice the awareness on breathe. Concentrated practice ... our thoughts naturally slow and possibly stop naturally. We become awareness, clarity. Awareness reflects all thing in front of it. When gone, it stops reflecting. We can see the emptiness. We are the emptiness. All things are possible. We see ourselves like we have never done before.
Maybe mine is just another misconception. Prove me wrong by practicing Zazen with a truly honest effort. Come back and tell me your truth .... hahaha

The ego isn't the problem with our lives. The ego is not what stops us from enlightenment.
After seeing the beauty of mind and its nature, you have left this mind .. these thoughts Coming back, the ego presses hard .. to heal the break you have made. Learning to deal with more ... learning to deal with the additional aspects of your life
We work upon our selves .. to improve ourselves. To find answers, to end suffering, to become better ....
Sorry, my thoughts seemed to have failed me. I will go back to sleep and speak no more of these things. Good luck to you on your journey.
Namaste.

Zen is nothing, which destroys the basis for everything, including tv power and Buddhist dogma. |
