A monk came to say good bye to Ch'an master Niaowo (Bird's Nest). He said:

Perhaps you are the 'moment"....living and will always live as long as you still carry yourself........perhaps " trying to live in the moment" creates more self and more self creates more joy and suffering ...still the process continues leading towards nothingness ,,,,,,,,
So perhaps trying to living in the moment with joy and hapiness or sorrow is like taking a longer / bumpy road ..perhaps living the moment with realization of Buddhism is like taking shorter and less suffering journey ..
