Tetsugen, a devotee of Zen in Japan, decided to publish the sutras, which at that time were available only in Chinese. The books were to be printed with wood blocks in an edition of seven thousand copies, a tremendous undertaking.... continue...

vertical line HAKUIN AND THE SAMURAI
A soldier came to Hakuin and asked "Is there really a paradise and a hell?"
"Who are you?" inquired Hakuin.

"I am a samurai," the warrior replied.

"You, a samurai!" exclaimed Hakuin. "What kind of ruler would have you as his guard? Your face looks like that of a beggar!"

The soldier became so angry that he began to draw his sword, but Hakuin continued. "So you have a sword! Your weapon is probably as dull as your head!"

As the soldier drew his sword Hakuin remarked "Here open the gates of hell!"

At these words, the samurai, perceiving the discipline of the master, sheathed his sword and bowed.

"Here open the gates of paradise," said Hakuin.

vertical line NOTHING EXISTS
Yamaoka Tesshu, as a young student of Zen, visited one
master after another. He called upon Dokuon of Shokoku.

Desiring to show his attainment, he said: "The mind,
Buddha, and sentient beings, after all, do not exist.
The true nature of phenomena is emptiness.
There is no realization, no delusion, no sage, no mediocrity.
There is no giving and nothing to be received."

Dokuon, who was smoking quietly, said nothing.
Suddenly he whacked Yamaoka with his bamboo pipe.
This made the youth quite angry.

"If nothing exists," inquired Dokuon, "where did this anger come from?"

vertical line even the criminal is compassionate and loving to his money, even the despot is compassionate and loving to his despotism. The murderer is compassionate and loving to his reason for murder,

the differance is the extent of understanding, if you realise you are all things, (and therefore there are no things really) the you will be compassionate and loving to everything.

small minds are compassionate and lloving in a limited way directly correlated to the area of their understanding, big mind is again compassionate and understanding to big ideas correlated to the capacity of understanding.

.........

this person is not to be trusted:

Lucis Trust is the Publishing House which prints and disseminates United Nations material. It is a devastating indictment of the New Age and Pagan nature of the UN. Lucis Trust was established in 1922 as Lucifer Trust by Alice Bailey as the publishing company to disseminate the books of Bailey and Madame Blavatsky and the Theosophical Society.

Due to public outrage over the creepy name of the publishing company, it was changed one year later to Lucis Trust.

It is one thing to advocate anti Christian things, but it is another entirely to advocate the (whether true or not) the human idea of the devil. These people are connected to the Golden Dawn, to the Rosicrucians, and other such cults.

All these groups use budhist philosophy (and others) in a watered down sense. The catch phrase seems to be the promotion, strong promotion of ego worship.
They use Kabalah, and other flawed esoteric teachings.

on the one hand they attempt to deny God, and on the other they evoke the opposite ????for if there is not the one there is definatly not the other, whereas the evocation of one confirms the believe in the other.  this is some very strange logic. In Buddhist speak there is some strong ego illusion going on here.

vertical line simple intelligence is  holy, illogic is the opposite end of this spectrum, should i say ignorance ?

ignorance is where evil hides (also ego is there) , ask the Buddha, ask Mohamed, ask Christ, but dont ask Alester Crowley :)

vertical line All pursuits are lost if searching for self liberation.
While travelling the path that is here and now
we act for the benefit of mankind
with no more desire for ones own self liberation
being aware that all is one body, one conciousness,
we act in awareness to lesson the suffering of that around us

There are no errors, there are only lessons,
lessons to better life through the power of “compassion”
there is only the “realisation” or “lack of realisation” of our own “potential” to act, think and create.

One who is wise will rejoice in the good and learn from the bad, seeing no opposite sides.
If we continue to see good and bad as opposite then we will fail to see what is good and what is bad.

vertical line Repeating what you have heard or read in some book or sutra doesn't mean you have any idea what it really means.
It may sound like you have wisdom but to me, it shows your lack of understanding.
Please refrain from quoting others when you don't have the knowledge or experience to make it your own.
In other words, speak of the wisdom that comes from you, your belly, deep inside .... hahaha
