<all-nothing> of mind.

besides the mechanic; ideation is delusion.

With "X is as Y" being "X isas Y" being "X assuch Y" being "X (thus) Y" being "X so Y"

succinctly x:y

<all-nothing> so am I [all]

vertical line Once, I visited a Zen center. I was introduced to the teachers, and told the order of the service. We entered the zendo, we sat zazen, we stood for walking meditation, we sat zazen again, we gathered seated in front of a teacher, we chanted, we listened while she spoke about political mentalities and about the self-sustaining practices at the center.

Afterwards, we had a potluck lunch with good food and friendly conversation. Then I was shown around the center by a resident student, and he and I sat in the yard while I told him what Zen was. If I had kept my mouth shut, I wouldn't have spoken some delusion about what Zen was. But I did, because I had ideas about what Zen was, and didn't see that all around me the whole time was what Zen was. After all, I had gone to a Zen center.

Zen is not a delusion. Believing that it is...well, that's as much a delusion as any other belief about Zen. Just go, put on a robe, sit with some people, and listen to dharma talks. These things just are what they are. You don't need to say anything else about them, other than this is part of the practice of Zen.

vertical line Having delusions about what Zen is is also part of what Zen is. It's okay, we're all in it together.
