vertical line Posted on May.23.2013 @ 12:01PM EDT by justin
A monk named Daishu Ekai, one of the Tang masters, when Zen was in its hayday:
What is great Nirvana,?

The master answered, not to commit oneself to the Karma of birth and death is great Nirvana

What then is the Karma of birth and death ?

to desire great Nirvana is the karma of birth and death

( i am reading another Suzuki book)

vertical line I should be impressed if it is your own words...lol

But nonetheless it is impressive...lol
Your karma infects you when you are thinking. For what is birth if not the past. And what is death is the future. You are touched by  birth and death only when you think..lol

Stop thinking and where can birth and death the karma can touch you...lol... only when you think that you are engulf with karma... the birth and death..

Try it... stop thinking.. and where can karma touch you... birth and death cannot touch you...

If you think .. you touch the past and the future...

Maybe read the original post again, without thinking "I should be" or "if this" or "if that", or trying to be impressed or not impressed, Mr. Not Thinking.

Thinking with judgment is karma. To desire "stop thinking" is karma.
