On one occasion, the Buddha said to the monks this:
"No other form do I know, O monks, that so persists in obsessing the mind of a man as the form of a woman.
The form of a woman persists in obsessing the mind of a man.

"No... continue...

→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: SEEING IT CLEARLY
vertical line Posted on Nov.16.2013 @ 05:15AM EDT by leoj99
Zen Masters are always told us to see it clearly. But wonders of wonders isn't everyone think they are seeing it clearly.. it is as clear as daylight...LOL...If we are seeing it clearly why do Zen Masters force us to see clearly. What kind of seeing do they want... We are told to sit and sit in Zazen and do breath in and breath out.. just that so we can see it clearly but how do we see it clearly...LOL

I bet all of you think and feel you are seeing it clearly..no exception...LOL

vertical line Dharma, in the widest since, is true and it works. You may have to spend some time, if you desire, to "see it clearly." You may have to "awaken" in your own perfect way along the Way. Dharma is the nameless teaching from which the Tao began, if you will. There is a distinction between what is and what is not Dharma yet the Dharma includes that which it isn't. Being a force of Dharma in this world is clearly something very unique because it deals, with confidence, in your original nature. The customs and traditions that have manifest into the symbolic form of the Dharma are beautiful but True Dharma, on the other hand, takes every ounce of your energy and empties it completely into absolute awareness. Dharma is limitless and unfathomable yet humanity has the potentiality to live up to the Dharma. That's what the Buddha taught and that, I believe, is what Zen, in the highest degree, is striving for.
