A wandering monk called Vaccha asked the Buddha if the Buddha would still exsist after death. The Buddha replied:
"Vaccha, the idea that I would exist or not exist after death - such ideas lead to dense jungles and arid deserts, to entanglements... continue...

→→→→ vertical line TOPIC: SO WHAT IF YOU KNOW EVERYTHING.
vertical line Posted on Nov.17.2013 @ 01:18AM EDT by leoj99
So what if you know everything. You may know all about Zen. You may know how to solve or deal with koans. You may know all about Oneness, Emptiness, Enlightenment, Nirvana, etc....
But they are of no worth if you don't have a Zen experience.

It is like many people who seem to know everything, even young people, anything you talk about they know and talk about it.,
Like some people knows everything about cars and buying cars but they never bought a car.
So whats the use of talking about Zen if you never had a Zen experience. How can you know about solving or dealing with koans if you never have studied any koan under a genuine teacher..LOL

So whats the use of talking about oneness, emptiness, enlightenment, nirvana .. if you have no experience with them..LOL

vertical line *What a wonderful way you have with words
said the dreamy young man
to the tree
The sound of the wind
as it rustles your leaves
speaks volumes as it blows to me

What a wonderful way you have with a tune
said the dreamy young man
to the sea
The sound of your waves
as they play on the shore
is beautiful music to me

You are such a prat
said the straightforward man
to the youth with the poetic soul
A tree is a tree lad
the sea is the sea
and let that be the end to that

*not my poem

Being...Not being. Who is?

Knowing...Not knowing. Who knows?

Feeling...Not feeling. Who feels?

Is...Not Is. What is?

I...Not I. What I?

Thinking...Not Thinking. What thought?

Good...Not Good. What good?

vertical line Knowledge-based energy takes from the poor, sick, unwanted, and denied energy within ourselves as now we are all one with less, once we drop grasping hands to open hands, hearts and minds within each breath of giving away all past desire to have a lie held once as true, the eternal mind opens us as witnesses all.

vertical line "Words are nice to hear" just leave it at that.  Nothing has a purpose, so stop trying to find a purpose in ones words.  Just let them be, listen if you are interested, or walk away if you are not.

vertical line who by fire
who by water
who in the sunshine
who in the night time
who by high ordeal
who by common trust
who in his merry month of may
who by very slow decay
and who shall i say is calling

who by lonely slip
who by barbituate
who in these realms of love
who by something blood
who by avalanche
who by powder
who for his greed
who for his hunger
and who shall i say is calling

who by brave acent
who by accident
who in soliyude
who in this mirror
who by his ladies command
who by his own hand
who in mortal chains
who in power
and who shall i say is calling.
