the general asked:
- What is it that's used everyday but not known?
The master handed a piece of cake to the general and said:
- Eat this... continue...

vertical line There is much technique in the world these days. It's healthy to return to the unmodified, natural state; the woods, Zazen, a smile.

vertical line Just put sunflower seed out front (three locations, outside kitchen and dining room) for the birds and squirrels to winter feed, but haven't been watching for their beautiful returns yet. Now, I'll go up front for my last cup of tea, or coffee I mean, and ah, ah, ahhh ......ha!!!

vertical line Sat for awhile and drank my tea, finished coffee too I meant, and watched, and, ahh.... nothing!
Went out to inspect the feed spots and still, seeds are untouched and full. Where are these beings? Time for some... tea then, as now. Ok steep tea, 5-10 minutes. Back to the jigsaw puzzle of mountain and river in Scotland, sip (sit) to be, on the spot, chirp.

vertical line What moves us? What stops us? Are we complete beings alone? Are we whole body-minds altogether? Who is the human experience?

.........

What moves us ? Perhaps is "our" emotions ,

What stops us ? Perhaps also "our " emotions.

Are we complete beings alone ? Perhaps Not in knowledge , but in realization ............

Are we whole body-minds altogether ? Perhaps yes in human knowledge but as we awaken to Buddhism , it will be clear and is not something we know but is realization of the body and acceptance of the mind .

Who is human experience ? Perhaps is always experiencing own emotion ......and experience is exploration on within us , is us and not something outside us .....

vertical line There they are! Birds and squirrels are like words on a story line, and it's raining, all is in nature of conflict and sustainability.

vertical line Zazen is something your body asks for like taking food or drink, or getting some sleep. Unlike meditation where you're exerting your will to achieve a certain result whatsoever that might be.

vertical line First I gave up action,
Then idle words,
And lastly thought itself.
Now I am here.
Ridding my mind of distraction,
Single-pointed,
I shut out sounds and all the senses,
And I am here,
In a cloud of unknowingness.
