When a monk came to say good bye to Chao-chou Tsung-shen (778-897), a brilliant Chinese Ch'an master.
-Where will you go?
The monk answered:
-Any place where I can learn Buddha dharma.
A QUESTION ABOUT MIND & NO MIND
the d.o.m.: Suppose someone came & asked the d.o.m. some question like this: -Do you have a mind? -The d.o.m. wouldn't say. -Do you has no mind? -The d.o.m. wouldn't say. -Why you wouldn't say? -Because it is not good to say that. -Why it is not good? -Because he who keep saying that will get a horn grown on his head. -Why is that so? -Oh! A horn is growing on your head! -!!!
shayne: nomind is still mind. mind is nomind. in other words an extra appendage and a belief system of mind of which we need not carry ? hence a horn. in other words no mind is on mind. or mind is on mind. both belief systems of a limited nature and confining?
thanks mr. d.o.m. for any kind replies.
Lionel: A baby will begin to get horn grown on his head as well when he learns the world even though he or she does not say so... Look at the newly born baby, does it has mind or no mind? What is the mind we had been keeping or talking here actually? A tree, a grass, a flower, a drop of water, heat, wind & endless etc etc on earth are speakless yet they do make sound or noise upon conditional contact. They do have same life too like you me & him otherwise there will be differences or much differences rather between all of nature like what it is happenning today!
Mind or mindless is same! The conditional contact upon momentary arising of any formation or attachment or clinging is the spark of wisdom if only we can see it clearly & sharply. By then one just walk on without a mirror anymore.
Thank you & so long friends!
Lionel: Hello, guess the gate of the garden is locked & full of guards. Perhaps someone has been visiting at wrong time & wrong place! Thank you anyway! So long!
the d.o.m.: From shayne both belief systems of a limited nature and confining?
Mr. Shayne, The answer is already in the question.
shayne: Mind or mindless is same! not no mind sherry. not no attention. ahhhhh........lionel said it good.
well either way d.o.m. mind and no mind are concepts of mind and like i just pay attention to this and be done with them.
lehish: >not no mind sherry. not no attention.<
is that happening shayne?
shayne: dont pay attention to me sherry and ask no reply if you have no mind.
DARKMATTER: Ah got wings!
lehish: >ask no reply if you have no mind.<
did ask for reply?....hehe
ONE: I want to ask the d.o.m. and everybody else, this simple question: What is this thing that only you can do?
zbishak: you can want.
You can want so, or not so, regardless of the percieved subject matter. Where there is no want, you become the creation of another's illusion, and there are no others.
ONE: My question have a specific answer. Nothing can stop you to find it if you want. Nothing can stop you to lie to yourself if you want. So be more careful in your wantings. if you want...
DARKMATTER: "The perceived subject matter" is the object. Is this a test?
shayne: mind and no mind come from self. better to not have a horn. and even if you do best to know it came from yourself and you made it. eh? EH? EH! haha.
Lynnoh: Hello D.o.m. :)
shayne: that and dont attach to mind and no mind. either way......the emptiness of which is mind should not attach for.....the are the same.
shane'O: wat is mind and no-mind wat defines your beliefs of wat they are
shayne: that which looks shayne'o. YOU know this.
the d.o.m.: From shayne mind and no mind come from self.
Mr. Shayne, Would you think that "self" comes from mind and no mind?
shayne: mr. d.o.m., without a shadow of a doubt it does. no traces left.
