SHEN-HIU MIND CLEARANCE
Shen-hsiu (Jinshu in Japanese) who lived in the late 6th century and early 7th century in Tang dynasty, China. When he was a head monk at his master's monastery, he wrote a verse to tell how to keep his mind clear . The verse was written in Chinese characters and it can be read in English translation as follows:

"The body is a tree of wisdom, The mind is as clear as a bright mirror. Time and again Keep it free from dirt."

In this verse, Shen-hsiu did not divided the mind into conscious mind, unconscious mind, subconscious mind, or into small mind, big mind, universial mind...at all. Just one mind.

Do you think this practice can help anything at all?
