More than a million-billion things just changed in the Universe as I typed this sentence. The Universe is not the same. It is entirely different in many ways. The previous reality has expired and now there is a new reality....

How can I know what reality is when the Universe is not the same place for even one second? It is constantly changing, so I feel I must keep an open mind.

The "reality" that you are talking about is not Reality itself but only some images of things around you left in your memory that, in turn, become the seeds of the thoughts you presented here. Only the thoughts or theory made of such images become expire, not Reality itslef. Reality itself - as a whole - does neither change nor unchange, It is neither old nor new as you think. In other word: It is as-It-is. Therefore, the statement: "The previous reality has expired and now there is a new reality...." is not correct.
