WHEN CLARIFICATION IS NEEDED
Posted on Aug.22.2009 @ 08:04AM EDT by chontri

Because of the vageness or ambiguity of words or language as
it'd often be, even when one thinks that what he said is very clear,
it may be clear to himself but not so to others.

So, when a clarification is needed and asked, he needs to make
what he said as clear as he could. This would be a help to correct
understanding in conversation.

Assumption, supposition, guess, assertion such as "I am sure people
know that" or "I am sure people understand that..." won't help at all,
especially when he holds fast on to his assumption.
